About Henna

     Mehndi is the art of applying henna to the body. Henna is a paste made from the crushed leaves of the henna plant. Henna has been used to adorn the body for thousands of years in many cultures, and it is considered to bring good luck and good fortune to those who wear it. 

     Henna parties are thrown to mark special occasions in one's life such as weddings and baby showers.  Today many people include henna for graduations, company picnics, birthday parties, and just for fun! 

 

I use only all natural Henna paste.  Ingredients:  Henna leaves; lemon juice, essential oils (lavender, geranium, cajuput tea tree and/or neroli) *

 

* It is important that the henna artist you choose uses only natural henna.  Be cautious if using black henna which can cause scarring.
